Romano announced on X (previously Twitter) that Newcastle were about to buy Serbian teenager Miodrag Pivas. A transaction is thought to be near and might be completed soon, while no further specifics are available.

According to Transfermarkt data, the 19-year-old has played in a variety of positions for his current club, Jedinstvo Ub.Throughout his career, the teenager has played as a central defender and a defensive midfielder and, at 6’2, appears to be a physically imposing figure.Pivas is unlikely to play in the first team on a regular basis anytime soon, although he may be seen as a future prospect at the club.If not, selling at some point may help with FFP – as appears to be the case with Minteh.
