The Dallas Cowboys may have been the most talked-about club this off season. That is due to both their big brand and the controversy surrounding this group.
The Cowboys’ big-money extensions for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons hover over the organization. Despite an apparent need to provide for their finest players, owner Jerry Jones has yet to make any payments.
Lamb has skipped obligatory minicamp, and it has been claimed that he will request a trade if he is not at least the second-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.
With training camp starting on July 24 and Lamb’s likely absence looming, there will be plenty of targets available.
Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert might benefit from more practice reps this summer as we approach 2024. With the regular season just two months away, Tolbert is expected to be a breakout player for Dallas.
Jalen Tolbert has been named the Cowboys’ Breakout Player for 2024.D. Drummond of Cowboys Wire believes Tolbert has a potential to break out next season.
“After a disastrous debut season, Tolbert saw the lights come on in 2023 but had little opportunities. He will have competition from others (Kavontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks, Ryan Flournoy), but there are over 60 targets ready to be claimed.”

Tolbert, at 6’1, possesses the size and quickness to be a viable vertical threat. He has already begun to turn heads during practice this spring, and his upward trend is expected to continue.
Last season, he had 22 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys released Michael Gallup this summer, so there will be more targets available.
Tolbert will have the opportunity to build a name for himself throughout the league thanks to the Cowboys’ aggressive passing strategy. We’ll see if he takes use of his opportunities.
