One unique aspect of Florida athletics is their strong connection with junior colleges, particularly Santa Fe College. This relationship has benefited the Gator baseball and basketball programs. The baseball team recently brought in Matthew Jenkins from SFC, while the men’s basketball team, coached by Todd Golden, has added rising sophomore Kevin Pazmino to their roster.
Kevin Pazmino brings versatility to the Gator basketball team. Known for his speed and quick passing, Pazmino earned more playing time as last season progressed, scoring in double digits in the final three games and shooting nearly 39 percent from the three-point line. His addition to the team, along with three-point specialist Walter Clayton, enhances the depth of the Gator roster.
With Pazmino and Clayton, the Gators are well-stocked with shooters for the 2024 season, promising a strong offensive lineup.
