Recruiting Background:
Zymear Smith, a 5-foot-11 ½, 170-pound athlete from Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline, recently committed to the Maryland Terrapins after decommitting from Alabama. Smith had been committed to the Crimson Tide for nearly four months before reopening his recruitment on July 3. He now becomes the 21st commit for Mike Locksley’s program in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Maryland’s co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim led the recruitment effort for Smith, with offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Josh Gattis also playing a key role.

In his junior year, Smith showcased his versatility by rushing for 670 yards and eight touchdowns on 80 carries, catching 12 passes for 427 yards and four scores, and excelling on defense with 22 tackles, three interceptions (one pick-six), seven pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Additionally, he scored two punt return touchdowns on special teams.

Abbreviated Scouting Report:
“Dynamic three-phase playmaker who could feasibly play running back or defensive back at the P4 level. Does a tremendous job of stacking cuts in limited space to make multiple defenders miss. Offers significant value as a receiver out of the backfield, can create chunk plays after the catch, or make plays down the field at the catch point.” — 247Sports national analyst Hudson Standish

Background in recruiting: A 6-foot-2, 185-pound punter from Carlsbad (Calif.) High School, Tyler Prasuhn became the 23rd commitment of Jedd Fisch’s program in the 2025 recruiting cycle when he chose to join the Huskies over offers from Air Force and San Diego State. Jordan Paopao, the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator for Washington, led the charge in his recruiting. Abbreviated scouting report: “Meadows is a jumbo receiver and one of the more intriguing players in the ’25 class. He has a rare combination of size, athleticism and body control and is only scratching the surface of how good we think he can be. At 6-6, 200 pounds and an 80″ wingspan, he’s a matchup nightmare for smaller defensive backs and should be an immediate red zone threat..” — 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins

Recruiting Background:
Bryce Davis, a 6-foot-3, 245-pound edge defender from Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley, committed to Clemson over Duke, Georgia, and South Carolina after taking official visits to all four schools during the summer. Clemson defensive ends coach Chris Rumph led the recruitment of the top-75 prospect, with assistance from defensive run game coordinator and defensive tackles coach Nick Eason. Davis is the 14th commit for head coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Despite being limited to just two games during his junior season due to injury, Davis recorded 17 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, and five quarterback hurries.

Abbreviated Scouting Report:
“High-energy pass rusher that offers some position flexibility up front. At his best when attacking the corner from a two-point stance as his heavy hands and quick feet can put opposing tackles in compromising positions. Displays favorable block recognition at this stage and understands how to find leverage while maintaining gap integrity.” — 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins

Background in recruiting: Jaboree Antoine, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback from New Iberia, Louisiana’s Westgate, chose the Hurricanes over Florida State and LSU, becoming him the program’s 19th commitment in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He had committed to LSU before, on June 23, restarting recruiting for almost five months. Chevis Jackson, the coach of the Miami cornerbacks, was his main recruiter. Playing in the first four games of the season and then returning for Westgate’s playoff defeat to eventual state champion Ruston in the second round, Antoine missed seven of his twelve games as a junior.

Background in recruiting: After making official visits to all four of those schools in June, Cortez Smith, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound offensive lineman from Lilburn, Georgia’s Parkview, decided to pledge to the Bulldogs over a group of contenders that also included Georgia Tech, Miami, and South Carolina. Boucard is the 22nd commitment for the Sooners in the 2025 recruiting cycle. During his junior season at Mobile (Ala.) Christian, Boucard recorded 85 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks in 14 games, according to MaxPreps.

Abbreviated Scouting Report:
“Canadian-born defensive tackle that goes hard from snap to whistle and will make a difference with his secondary effort. Has proven to be a spry mover for someone that’s 315 pounds as he’s quick to fire out of his stance and draw his hands. Spent junior season working out of a variety of different alignments for Alabama’s 3A champs, but ceiling appears to be highest as a nose in a 4-3 front, especially with his natural low center of gravity.” — 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins

Background in recruiting: After making official visits to Kansas State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and West Fargo (N.D.) Sheyenne, Kade Pietrzak, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive lineman, chose the Cornhuskers over rivals Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin this summer. In addition to his football talent, Clark is a track and field standout, having placed third in the 100-meter dash at the South Carolina 5A state meet with a time of 10.62 seconds.

Recruiting: 5-star wide receiver Derek Meadows commits to LSU – Crescent City Sports

Abbreviated Scouting Report:
“Perimeter playmaker with the speed to find the end zone. At his best when he’s attacking the deeper parts of the field as he streaks down the sideline and keeps defenders on their heels. Will create separation with dynamic cuts, but could get a little more efficient with his footwork. Quick to locate the football once it’s airborne, gearing down or up to secure the prize.” — 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins

Recruiting Background:
Josiah Sharma, a 6-foot-4 ½, 325-pound defensive lineman from Folsom (Calif.) Abbreviated Scouting Report:
“Mammoth two-way lineman whose stock has really blown up in the last few months with scholarships flying in from all over the country. All of his scholarship offers are coming in for him on the defensive side of the ball, and he shows the ability to play tackle, three-tech, or on the nose. He’s a big space eater who shows a nice get-off and a consistent motor.” — 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins

Projection:
