Breaking: Alabama Football Signs In Another Talented Player

Domani Jackson, a former University of Southern California cornerback, transferred to Alabama and is currently participating in spring drills. After two years at USC, he felt the need for a change and now feels at home with Alabama football in Tuscaloosa.

Jackson, a Mater Dei High School alumnus, joined the Crimson Tide in the spring. Standing at 6-foot and weighing 197 pounds, he sought the rigorous culture of Alabama and is excelling. His spring performance was strong, his offseason productive, and he has impressed through five fall camp practices. Jackson, one of the few defensive players available for media interviews after Tuesday’s practice, expressed his satisfaction with being part of a dominant program, irrespective of Nick Saban’s retirement.

“Truthfully, the A does not change,” Jackson remarked. “They [Alabama] are still a powerhouse, still run college football. I just wanted to have a change and reset my college career. I felt like this was the best opportunity for me.”

Jackson felt confident in Alabama’s future under Kalen DeBoer, Saban’s successor.

“I played against him, so I know what they are capable of,” Jackson said, referring to his experiences against DeBoer and his staff at the University of Washington. “You can go down his road, he’s a winning coach. The coaches he was going to bring in were going to be great.”

Jackson is poised for a breakout year in the fall, possessing the skills to become one of the nation’s top outside cornerbacks.
