Breaking: Significant Boost For The Texans For The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Player From Rivals

The Washington Commanders’ defense is set to be significantly more motivated compared to last year’s squad. With the additions of players like Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu, the front seven is expected to show notable improvement.

Bleacher Report recently suggested that Washington might trade their star defensive tackle, Jonathan Allen, to the Houston Texans. According to Bleacher Report, “The Houston Texans are in a prime position to make bold trades” and could consider acquiring Allen. Initially, it seemed puzzling why Washington would part with such a key defensive player, especially when they have stated their intention to win now.

However, Bleacher Report argues that Allen would strengthen a weak spot for the Texans. With Will Anderson Jr. and Hunter providing pressure from the edge, Allen would add substantial impact to the interior, surpassing the combined sack total of Folorunso Fatukasi and Mario Edwards Jr. from last season.

The idea of trading Allen seems questionable given Washington’s commitment to enhancing their defense, as evidenced by their offseason moves. The team brought in veteran talent like Wagner, Luvu, and Dorance Armstrong, and they also invested high draft picks in defensive players.

Trading Allen would undermine their efforts to build a strong defensive front. Given his revitalized performance under the new coaching regime and the potential for a top-tier defensive line, it’s clear that parting with Allen is not in Washington’s best interest. Thus, the proposed trade seems unwise.
