Aurora (Ind.) South Dearborn linebacker Brady Ballart, a standout for the 2026 class, has committed to the University of Louisville after several visits. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound All-State selection from last fall was among the recruits who attended Louisville’s home victory over Jacksonville State on Saturday. This visit followed earlier trips in April and July, during which the UofL coaching staff extended a scholarship offer. Ballart also visited last fall when Louisville defeated Notre Dame at L&N Stadium.
“I’ve always felt at home every time I’ve visited Louisville, and I genuinely believe it’s where I’ll excel,” Ballart told Cardinal Authority after his commitment. “The coaching staff is top-notch, and I’m thrilled to join them. Coach Brohm’s vision is truly motivating, and I’m confident we’ll achieve great success in Louisville. Coach English’s enthusiasm and coaching approach align perfectly with me. My position coach, Coach Ivey, and I connected right away, and I’m eager to perform at my best under his mentorship. The city’s support, especially for football, is incredible, and I’m excited to help bring championships to the community.”
Following his July visit, Ballart shared his positive impressions of Louisville with 247Sports, highlighting the city’s passion and the strong connection between fans and the team. He recalled the excitement of rushing the field after the victory over Notre Dame and appreciated the camaraderie among the coaches and players.
Ballart, who is projected to play inside linebacker at Louisville, plans to return for upcoming games against Georgia Tech and Miami. As a sophomore at South Dearborn, he recorded 64 tackles, including seven for loss, an interception, and two fumble recoveries. Over his two seasons, he has accumulated 162 tackles and 13 tackles for loss. Additionally, Ballart has contributed offensively with 525 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 105 carries.
Ballart’s commitment marks the second addition to Louisville’s 2026 recruiting class, joining offensive lineman Max Merz.
