JUST IN: Bills Loses Another Key Player For The Rest Of The Year

Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller has been suspended for four games by the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. The NFL did not provide details regarding the reason for the suspension, which occurs as the Bills (3-1) prepare to face the Houston Texans on Sunday. Miller, who leads all active NFL players in sacks, will be eligible to return before the Bills’ home game against Miami on November 3.

Last November, Miller was accused of assaulting his pregnant girlfriend at their home near Dallas during the Bills’ bye week. He turned himself in to police following allegations of third-degree felony assault against a pregnant woman, which carries a potential prison sentence of two to ten years and a $10,000 fine.

Miller and the woman have been in a relationship for seven years and share two other children. No charges have been filed in the case. In July, Miller stated he believed the matter was resolved based on his lawyers’ advice.

“My focus right now is all about football and my kids, and being the best teammate and player I can be,” he said at the time. “I’m grateful to be with the Buffalo Bills and just enjoying life as it comes.”

The 35-year-old Miller has recorded three sacks in four games this season. Last year, he did not have any sacks in 14 games, including the playoffs, as he was recovering from a torn knee ligament.

Miller has a career total of 126.5 sacks, placing him tied for 17th on the all-time list with Derrick Thomas.

In his first comments regarding his arrest in December, Miller denied the allegations, describing them as false and exaggerated. He acknowledged that an incident occurred between him and his girlfriend but insisted it was not as serious as the accusations suggested.
