MAJOR BREAKING: Yankees Face Challenge As Key Player’s ALDS Availability in Doubt

The New York Yankees are expected to be without at least one key player for the American League Division Series against Kansas City.

General manager Brian Cashman confirmed on Thursday that first baseman Anthony Rizzo is very unlikely to participate in the ALDS. Rizzo fractured two fingers on his right hand after being hit by a pitch on September 28 and has yet to resume any baseball activities.

Throughout the season, Rizzo has struggled with injuries, first with his arm and now with his hand. He had just returned from the arm injury in September but did not make a significant impact, hitting .247 with limited extra-base power.

Despite this setback, the Yankees are still considered favorites in the American League playoffs, especially following the elimination of the Baltimore Orioles and Houston Astros in the Wild Card round.

However, they have faced several notable injuries in recent weeks that could balance the competition.
