South Carolina coach Shane Beamer shared encouraging news on his weekly radio show, Carolina Calls, on Thursday. He announced that quarterback LaNorris Sellers, running back Rocket Sanders, and wide receiver Jared Brown—who were all listed as questionable in Wednesday’s injury report—will now be upgraded to “probable.”
LaNorris Sellers
Sellers and Brown were injured during the loss to LSU three weeks ago, with Sellers suffering an ankle sprain in the second half and Brown also leaving the game.
They both missed the entire game against Akron. Meanwhile, Sanders nearly sat out the Akron game after twisting his ankle just minutes into the contest. Fortunately for the Gamecocks, the bye week allowed these players an extra week to recover. Their health will be vital as South Carolina faces No. 12 Ole Miss at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
