JUST-IN: Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans Gives Major Update On Talented Player’s Career Ending Injury

The Houston Texans suffered a significant blow with the loss of wide receiver Stefon Diggs for the entire season due to a knee injury sustained during Sunday’s game.

This marks a disappointing end to Diggs’ first year with his hometown team. The veteran, who previously played for the Bills and Vikings, took to Instagram to express gratitude to his supporters.

Unfortunately, Diggs tore his ACL during a non-contact play in the Texans’ victory over the Colts, casting a shadow over what should have been a celebratory win.

This injury adds to the Texans’ challenges, as it isn’t the first major setback for their receiving corps this season. Nico Collins, another key receiver, is set to miss his fourth game after being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring issue.

Despite these challenges, quarterback CJ Stroud and the Texans have managed to perform well, securing victories against the Bills and Patriots, although they did experience a tough loss to the Packers.

As the team heads into Thursday’s game, a win could bring them to seven victories before the trade deadline, potentially paving the way for Collins’ return. However, his availability for Week 10 remains uncertain, which could prompt the Texans to explore the trade market for additional offensive support.

Diggs was expected to elevate the young Texans offense, joining running back Joe Mixon, who has significantly improved the team’s struggling ground game. While Diggs offered valuable veteran presence, his on-field contributions had not fully met expectations.

Now, the Texans must adapt to his absence as they strive to maintain their competitive edge.
