The Baltimore Ravens secured a thrilling 35-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on “Thursday Night Football,” inching closer to the top spot in the AFC North.
However, the win may have come at a price, as All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton sustained an ankle injury during the game.
On a positive note, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported that the tests on Hamilton’s injury “came back as positive as could be hoped for.
” So far this season, Hamilton has been a key contributor, recording seven pass deflections, five quarterback hits, three tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and 71 total tackles (50 solo) through 10 games.
If Hamilton has to miss any time, it would be a significant setback for the Ravens, who are eyeing a Super Bowl run.
The team has struggled with defending against the passing game, as evidenced by their performance against the Bengals.
Quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 428 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions, while wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase posted 11 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite these defensive issues, the Ravens still look like a strong contender for a championship, with MVP candidate Lamar Jackson leading the offense and running back Derrick Henry continuing to dominate.
Henry may be on track to win Offensive Player of the Year, having rushed for 1,120 yards and 12 touchdowns, leading the league in both categories.
