Kansas State has added another player from the transfer portal, as West Georgia safety Mar’Quavious Moss has committed to the Wildcats.
Moss made his decision shortly after completing an official visit to Kansas State on December 14th, joining several other prospects who have recently visited Manhattan. Along with K-State, Moss has toured Georgia Tech, Tulane, Virginia, and Houston. Nebraska also got a late visit, which caused Moss to delay his commitment by a day.
Kansas State’s defensive coordinator and safeties coach, Joe Klanderman, deserves credit for the Wildcats landing Moss. K-State was the first school to offer Moss after he entered the transfer portal, making him a priority target. The Wildcats also had an edge, as Moss previously played for one season at Dodge City Community College and has a connection to West Georgia through K-State’s Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruiting, Riley Galpin, who spent the last two years at West Georgia.
Moss, a true sophomore, had an impressive first season at West Georgia, recording 56 tackles, including nine for a loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble. His ability to work around the line of scrimmage suggests he could take on the ‘Jack’ safety role at Kansas State.
Ranked No. 120 in the transfer portal by On3’s Industry Ranking, Moss is also the No. 9 safety overall and the No. 6 safety among remaining available players. He becomes the 27th player added to Kansas State’s 2025 recruiting class and the third transfer. The West Point, Georgia native will join the Wildcats with two seasons of eligibility remaining and a redshirt year still available.
