MAJOR-BREAKING: Yankees Swings Blockbuster Three-Player Trade For Minnesota Twins $200 Million Slugger

The New York Yankees lost Juan Soto to the New York Mets this offseason but have added Cody Bellinger, Devin Williams, Max Fried, and Paul Goldschmidt to help fill the gap.

According to Pete Caldera of NorthJersey.com, the Yankees are likely to make a trade during the season to acquire another superstar. He suggests a potential trade with the Minnesota Twins to land shortstop Carlos Correa.

The trade would involve the Yankees receiving Correa, while the Twins would get infielder George Lombard Jr. (No. 3 prospect), right-handed pitcher Chase Hampton (No. 6 prospect), and right-handed pitcher Will Warren (No. 5 prospect).

This move would require the Yankees to part with three top-10 prospects. Although the Yankees currently have Anthony Volpe at shortstop, they would likely shift him to second base, a position now in need of reinforcement, in order to add a player like Correa.

Correa, who signed a six-year, $200 million contract with the Twins in 2023, is one of the best shortstops in the league, ranking behind only Francisco Lindor and Corey Seager for home runs among shortstops since his debut in 2015.

A three-time All-Star, Gold Glove winner, and Platinum Glove recipient, Correa would be a major upgrade for the Yankees’ infield. Last season, despite playing just 86 games, he posted a .310/.388/.517 slash line with 14 home runs.

At the Winter Meetings, Twins general manager Derek Falvey and president of baseball operations Jeremy Zoll emphasized that the team isn’t looking to sell but is instead focused on winning.

However, they indicated they would be open to trade discussions for any of their players, stating that they are willing to consider creative trade ideas.
