MAJORSETBACK: Kansas city Michael Massey Confirms His Departure Due To……

In mid-November, the Kansas City Royals seemingly kicked off their offseason by trading pitching depth (Brady Singer) for a power-hitting second baseman (Jonathan India), opting to act quickly without fully considering the consequences.

Now, the Yankees have the opportunity to address one of the key questions that trade raised.

While India could technically shift around in Kansas City, he has primarily played second base and DH during his four years in MLB.

Instead of making the 2021 Rookie of the Year uncomfortable in his new role, the Royals are likely to move Michael Massey around the field.

This is where the Yankees should step in, urging Kansas City to trade them a player who would be a better fit for Yankee Stadium.

It’s important to note that the home-field advantage now includes six additional games this season, as the Rays have moved their home games to a replica of the old Yankees’ ballpark.

Though the ALDS series lasted just four games, Massey was a major nuisance for the Yankees. Just imagine having that kind of speedy, powerful player in pinstripes instead.

He would be exactly what Yankees fans have been advocating for—more contact hitters—while also providing 20-homer power for the Bronx.
