MAJOR BREAKING: South Carolina Lands Mind Blowing Commitment Deal For Division Rivals Keyman

South Carolina secured another key transfer addition on Tuesday evening, with former Utah State running back Rahsul Faison committing to the program, according to On3. Ranked as the No. 4 running back in the transfer portal by 247Sports, Faison’s decision to join the Gamecocks is a significant boost for head coach Shane Beamer and his team.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Faison had multiple schools vying for his services, including Florida State, Alabama, UNC, UCLA, and UCF, with some predicting he would land with the Seminoles. Ultimately, he chose South Carolina for his next destination.

Faison had an impressive 2024 season, rushing for 1,109 yards on 198 carries and scoring 8 touchdowns. He also showcased his versatility, adding 22 receptions for 99 yards as a reliable pass-catching back. His consistency stood out, as he rushed for over 100 yards in five games this season. His standout performance came in a 55-10 victory over Hawaii in November, where he ran for 191 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

Faison’s football journey began at Lackawanna Community College in 2020 before transferring to Marshall and then Snow College for a year in 2022. He joined Utah State for the 2023 season and now heads to South Carolina, where he will have the opportunity to compete for the starting running back spot in 2025, especially with Rocket Sanders set to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

Joining the SEC will give Faison the chance to prove himself on one of the biggest stages in college football, going up against some of the toughest teams in the country.
