BLOCKBUSTER-TRADE: Mizzou Hits Two More Important Transfer Portal Additions

The Missouri Tigers have made key moves to bolster their roster for the 2025 season, securing two important transfers from the portal to address critical positions. The Tigers have landed Tyshawn Wyatt, an experienced offensive tackle from James Madison, and D’Yoni Hill, a standout cornerback from Miami. These additions will add depth and competition to Missouri’s offensive line and secondary, two areas that have seen significant turnover.

Tyshawn Wyatt, a four-year starter at James Madison, is in Columbia this week for a visit after recently checking out Indiana. Wyatt brings valuable experience, having been a fixture on the offensive line throughout his career, with a solid average blocking grade of 56.8 over four seasons.

He missed the 2024-2025 season due to injury, but his proven track record in multiple seasons as a starter makes him an ideal addition to an offensive line that’s already seen some changes. With Keagen Trost, Dominick Giudice, and Johnny Williams IV already joining the Tigers, Wyatt would further deepen the competition for spots on the front line. He would compete for a starting role alongside returning players like Conner Tollison and Cayden Green, bringing more experience to a position of need.

On the defensive side, D’Yoni Hill is set to visit Missouri after completing a solid junior season at Miami. Hill, who has also drawn attention from West Virginia and Wisconsin, brings a wealth of experience to the cornerback position. Starting in five games for the Hurricanes in 2024-2025, Hill posted 33 tackles and a pass deflection. His breakout sophomore year at Marshall was even more impressive, with 55 tackles, an interception, and 10 pass deflections. With Toriano Pride Jr. and Nic Deloach already leading the cornerback group, adding Hill to the mix would create a competitive environment for spots and strengthen Mizzou’s defensive backfield alongside players like Dreyden Norwood.

With these two key transfer additions, Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers continue to make strategic moves to improve depth at positions that are essential for success in the SEC. The arrival of Wyatt and Hill signals Mizzou’s commitment to building a well-rounded, competitive roster for the upcoming season.
