BREAKING: Pittsburgh Steelers Officially Confirms The Signing Of Another Top Experienced Player

Doug Nester, a 24-year-old offensive lineman from Kenova, West Virginia, has re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2025 NFL season.

His agent, Brett Tessler, announced the new contract on January 13, 2025.

Nester began his collegiate career at Virginia Tech, starting 17 games over his first two seasons.

He then transferred to West Virginia University, where he made 38 starts across multiple positions on the offensive line over three seasons.

In 2023, he moved to right tackle for his redshirt senior season.

After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Nester signed with the Minnesota Vikings but was waived during final roster cuts.

He subsequently joined the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad on August 28, 2024, where he spent the entire season working at both tackle and guard positions.

Although he did not appear in any games, his performance on the practice squad earned him a future contract with the Steelers for the 2025 season.
