BREAKING: Kansas State Confirms Another Key Player’s Return for 2025 Season

Kansas State received some exciting news on Thursday as senior offensive lineman Taylor Poitier announced he would return for another season. Poitier, who started as a guard for the Wildcats last season, was granted an extra year of eligibility and is set to bring his experience back to the field in 2025.

Poitier shared his decision on X (formerly Twitter), posting, “Why not? Let’s do this thing,” signaling his commitment to continue his role in bolstering the Wildcats’ offensive line.

Sigle Receives Big NFL Combine Invitation

In other Kansas State news, former defensive back Marques Sigle has received a major opportunity to showcase his skills to NFL scouts. Sigle, who had a standout season with 60 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and three pass break-ups in 2024, was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place from February 27 to March 2. After an impressive performance at the East-West Shrine Game, Sigle’s stock is on the rise, and this opportunity could further boost his draft prospects. Although considered a late-round pick, Sigle’s performance at the Combine could make him one to watch in April’s NFL Draft.

Coach Tang Holds High Expectations for Coleman Hawkins

In basketball news, Coleman Hawkins has been a standout during Kansas State’s recent two-game win streak, impressing fans and coach Jerome Tang alike. However, Tang is still pushing the star forward to reach greater heights.

After a blowout win over Oklahoma State, Tang challenged Hawkins to focus on scoring and rebounding more, noting that his unique skill set could make a huge impact if utilized fully. “He can see the play before the play,” Tang said, highlighting Hawkins’ vision and ability to create mismatches on the court. “When he wants, which I’d like him to do a little bit more, he can really shoot the ball.”

While Hawkins has yet to fully meet the high expectations set for him this season, performances like his recent showing provide hope for Kansas State’s future, as they look ahead to their next game against Iowa State on Saturday.

With Poitier returning to the gridiron and Sigle earning attention at the NFL Combine, alongside Hawkins’ potential on the hardwood, Kansas State fans have plenty of reason for optimism in both football and basketball this season.
