Four football players from the University of Missouri, including a former Lee’s Summit North High School standout, have received invites to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Receivers Luther Burden III and Theo Wease Jr., quarterback Brady Cook, and offensive lineman Armand Membou — the Lee’s Summit North alum — will all take part in the prestigious event, which is scheduled to run from February 27 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
During the week, the Mizzou quartet will join other college athletes, breaking into their position groups to showcase their skills in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams. A strong performance in Indy could boost any of their draft stocks ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, set for April 24-26. A total of 329 players eligible for this year’s draft were invited to the combine.

Membou, 20, is widely expected to be a first-round pick. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 332 pounds, he could end up as an interior lineman in the NFL, although some believe his size and length could allow him to play tackle as well.
Meanwhile, Burden, a St. Louis native, is projected as a potential mid-first-round pick, with some experts suggesting he could be chosen within the top 10. Burden had 86 receptions for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns in 2023, before seeing a drop in production in 2024, where he finished with 61 catches for 676 yards and six TDs.
