BREAKING: Gamecocks Make Shocking Move To Trade Star Player to Rival Team

A standout wide receiver from the South Carolina Gamecocks has been traded to the Washington Commanders in exchange for a fifth-round NFL draft pick. The deal, which won’t be finalized until the new league year begins on March 12, follows the player’s request for a trade after last season, a decision that became official just last week.

Over six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, the player made a significant impact, playing 81 regular-season games and accumulating 334 receptions for 4,792 yards and 22 touchdowns. Last season, he posted 51 receptions for 670 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to 42 rushes for 136 yards and one touchdown.

“It was a difficult conversation with Kyle [Shanahan] because of the bond we share,” the player shared earlier this month, via ESPN. “But I have to do what’s best for me. I’m grateful to the 49ers for giving me this opportunity, but now I think it’s time for me to move on to a new team.”

The player, known for his versatility, was one of the most talented wide receivers to ever play for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He finished his college career with 148 catches for 2,076 yards and 28 touchdowns, including 16 receiving, seven rushing, four on kickoff returns, and one from a fumble recovery. He even threw a touchdown pass, further showcasing his playmaking ability.
