MAJOR BOOST: Royals Make Power Move, Signing Veteran Outfielder Ahead Of Opening Day.

The Kansas City Royals made a late addition to their roster on Friday by acquiring veteran outfielder Mark Canha from the Milwaukee Brewers, a source confirmed to The Star. Canha, 36, signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers this offseason and has a career .349 on-base percentage over 10 MLB seasons.

In return, the Royals will send a player to be named later. MLB insider Mark Feinsand also noted that Canha had an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract with the Brewers.
