Freddie Freeman, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first baseman, aggravated his surgically repaired ankle following an “incident” while entering the shower at home, according to manager Dave Roberts on Monday. Freeman is considered day-to-day.
The 35-year-old initially injured his ankle in September. After playing through the injury during the Dodgers’ World Series run, he had surgery on the ankle during the offseason.

So far this season, Freeman has played in three games, going 3-for-12 with two home runs and four RBIs.
A consistent performer, the eight-time All-Star posted 22 home runs, 89 RBIs, a .282 batting average, and a .378 on-base percentage in 147 games last season.
