The Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2025 NFL Draft with several needs to address, and Brian Gutekunst will have plenty of opportunities to add valuable players throughout the draft.
It’s crucial for him to make the most of the first three rounds, but what happens beyond that is just as important.
The Packers’ primary needs include wide receiver, cornerback, and pass rushing. Additionally, they could use some linebacker depth.
With that in mind, there’s a new prediction suggesting that Green Bay could target a sleeper star from Ohio State.

Packers Predicted to Target Ohio State Linebacker Cody Simon in the 2025 Draft
Reese Decker of Pro Football Network has forecasted that Gutekunst will select Ohio State linebacker Cody Simon with the No. 124 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 draft.
Simon would be an intriguing addition to the Packers. He was a key leader for the Buckeyes during their 2024 season, which ended with a national championship. Beyond his leadership, he also had an outstanding individual performance.
In 2024, Simon totaled 112 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, and seven defended passes, showcasing his potential at the NFL level.

While he may not start immediately, Simon would provide valuable depth. In case of injury, he would be ready to step in and contribute. Selecting him in the fourth round would be a smart move for Green Bay.
With the draft just around the corner, starting on April 24 and running through April 26, it will be exciting to see what the Packers decide to do.
