The New York Giants are conducting private workouts and interviews with several top prospects ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft. The team typically favors selecting players they’ve had in for top-30 visits, making it important to monitor which players they bring in during the offseason.
Giants Host RB Ollie Gordon for Top-30 Visit
According to Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, the Giants are bringing in Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon for a top-30 visit. He joins a growing list of draft prospects scheduled to meet with the Giants as the draft approaches.
Gordon: A Potential Mid-Round Gem
This year’s draft class is stacked with talent at the running back position, and many promising prospects are expected to be selected on Days 2 and 3. Gordon, a powerful and dynamic rusher, could be an intriguing mid-round option for the Giants.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and 226 pounds, Gordon possesses the strength to power through defenders. NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein compares him to Washington Commanders’ running back Brian Robinson Jr., describing him as a perfect complementary back. Zierlein highlights Gordon’s ability to wear down defenses with his downhill running, adding tough yards after contact. Though Gordon’s 2024 production took a dip, it was due to factors outside of his control. He could attract attention from teams seeking a physical back for a two-back system.
A Potential Fit in the Giants’ Backfield
The Giants currently have Tyrone Tracy Jr. as their starting running back, a fifth-round pick from last year’s draft. Gordon could complement Tracy, forming a two-back system that Zierlein has mentioned.
In 2023, Gordon was outstanding, rushing for 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns, along with 330 yards and one touchdown receiving. However, his production dipped in 2024, as he rushed for 880 yards and 13 touchdowns. Gordon’s bruising running style could provide a physical presence in the Giants’ backfield, and he could end up being a late Day 2 or early Day 3 selection to add some playmaking ability to the offense.
