HUGE BOOST: Giants Secure Veteran With Extra Strength to Boost Team: Officially Announce Korie Black to Roster

The New York Giants revamped their secondary this offseason by making a couple of key signings, including cornerback Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland. However, they didn’t stop there, adding more potential depth to their defensive backfield by selecting Oklahoma State cornerback Korie Black in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Black, a 6-foot, 192-pound corner, brings elite speed and an intriguing skill set that could develop into a valuable contributor at the next level. He was a three-year starter for Oklahoma State, delivering his best season as a senior in 2024 with three interceptions and nine pass breakups.

Ranked by NFL.com as a potential fifth-round pick, Black’s selection in the seventh round provides the Giants with great value. Scouting reports highlight his impressive size and elite speed, with a 4.35-second 40-yard dash at his pro day and a notable 8.42 relative athletic score.

With the Giants having dealt with injuries in their secondary in recent years, adding Black provides much-needed depth. His experience, along with his physical traits, makes him a promising addition to the defense. Black’s five-year collegiate career saw him play in 62 games, starting 38. Beyond his role in the secondary, Black’s special teams experience as a gunner at Oklahoma State could also allow him to make an early impact in that area for the Giants.
