The incident occurred when he made a diving tackle along the Raiders’ sideline on tight end Harrison Bryant, prompting him to enter the blue medical tent for an extended evaluation.
After a thorough assessment, Fitzpatrick emerged from the tent wearing his helmet and full pads, joining his teammates on the bench.
He made his return just before halftime, continuing to play while seemingly being monitored with a pitch count to manage his condition.
In Fitzpatrick’s absence, the Steelers relied on Terrell Edmunds and DeShon Elliott to fill the safety position. Meanwhile, veteran safety Damontae Kazee was sidelined for the game due to an ankle injury he incurred during pregame warmups against the Dallas Cowboys.
