Breaking: Louisville Announces Major Commitment

Ole Miss’ sixth portal addition is senior Louisville right field transfer Isaac Humphrey. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound outfielder revealed his commitment to Ole Miss baseball on Monday morning via Instagram.

“One final ride in Oxford!” Humphrey penned “Hotty Toddy” on Monday morning.

Humphrey is Ole Miss’ highest-rated transfer this cycle, ranking 48th among the top 250 transfers by 64Analytics. The former Cardinal has joined Ole Miss’ transfer class, which includes C Collin Reuter (BYU), RHP Joe McCausland (St. Joe’s), SS Luke Cheng (Illinois State), OF Ryan Moerman (Illinois), and RF Mitchell Sanford (New Orleans).

In 2024, played in 54 games with 50 starts in right field, finishing with a .310 batting average, 13 doubles, two triples, and a career-high 10 home runs. Accumulated 39 RBIs, scored 46 runs, and went 9-for-10 in stolen bases. Notable performances include:

– March 1: Went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and his first home run of the season against Youngstown State.
– March 6: Went 2-for-3, scoring three runs in the win over Morehead State.
– Series against Northwestern: Recorded five hits, including two home runs.
– March 28: Hit a solo homer at Florida State.
– April 9: Launched a solo homer at WKU.
– April 13: Went 3-for-5, tying his career high with four RBIs in the win over Virginia.
– April 16: Finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs, three runs, and a solo homer against Kentucky.
– May 3: Went 3-for-4 with a double and a homer in the win over Boston College.

2023: Appeared in 51 games, making 41 starts (39 in RF and 2 in CF). Hit.246 with five doubles, three triples, three home runs, and 24 RBI… Louisville’s first runs of the season came on a home run against Bucknell… On March 7, he went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and his second home run of the season against Morehead State. On April 12, he had three hits, two RBI, and scored twice against Bellarmine. I had an extra-base hit in all three games versus Miami… On May 2, he went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs, and three runs versus Bellarmine. On May 9, I hit a game-tying double in the ninth inning against Vanderbilt.

In 2022, played in 61 of 64 games, starting 58 in his first season on the field. He finished with a .328 batting average, 15 doubles, one triple, and five home runs. He drove in 38 runs, scored 44 times, and stole 11 bases. Key highlights of the season include:

– February 18: Made his collegiate debut starting in right field against Charlotte.
– February 19: Picked up his first collegiate hit against USF.
– February 21: Had a perfect 3-for-3 night with two doubles and a walk against Xavier.
– March 1: Reached base three times, picking up an RBI and a stolen base against Morehead State.
– March 5: Tallied two hits and drove in two runs in a win over Akron.
– March 8: Threw out the game-tying run at the plate in the eighth inning to preserve a 9-8 victory over TCU.
– March 13: Hit his first career home run against Michigan.
– March 20: Launched a go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning to help defeat No. 1 Notre Dame.
– March 29: Matched career highs with three hits and three RBIs at Western Kentucky.
– April 2: Finished a perfect 3-for-3 in the second game of the doubleheader at Pitt.
– April 10: Drove a ball to the wall for a walk-off single in the 14th inning of the finale against North Carolina.
– April 12: Reached base four times and drove in three runs against Cincinnati.
– April 29: Doubled twice and drove in two runs against Clemson for his fourth straight multi-hit game.
– May 13: Went 3-for-4 with his fourth homer of the season at Virginia Tech.
– May 21: Homered in a 3-for-4 game in the regular season finale against Virginia.

**2021:** Did not make an appearance.

**High School:** Lettered five years in baseball and four years in basketball at Owensboro High. Named Owensboro Times 2019 Player of the Year and earned 2019 KHSBCA Third Team All-State honors. Rated the No. 3 outfielder and No. 15 overall player in Kentucky by Perfect Game.
