BREAKING: Ravens Coach John Harbaugh Place Top-Notch Player On Injured Reserve

The Baltimore Ravens will be without their top return specialist, for at least four weeks, as Head Coach John Harbaugh announced his placement on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Fortunately, Harbaugh confirmed that the injury is not season-ending.

Harty, a graduate of Archbishop Curley, joined the Ravens this offseason and has recorded eight punt returns for 85 yards in five games.

He previously missed the Week 5 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals but returned to action last week against the Washington Commanders. However, he did not participate in practice this week, leading to the decision to place him on IR.

“Harty is our guy, and we believe in him,” said Special Teams Coordinator Chris Horton. “When he’s healthy and in the right place, we know he can be a difference maker for us.”

In Harty’s absence, the Ravens are expected to rely on wide receiver Tylan Wallace for return duties. Harbaugh mentioned that Wallace, along with other players, can step in as backup returners.

Wallace had filled in for Harty during Week 5 and was also Baltimore’s primary returner late last season. Notably, he made headlines this year with a game-winning punt return in overtime against the Los Angeles Rams.
