During the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, three players were forced to leave the field due to injuries and did not return.
The injuries varied in type and severity, leading to concerns about their impact on the team as they head into Week 8. The players affected were defensive leader Terrel Bernard, linebacker Dorian Williams, and wide receiver Curtis Samuel.
Terrel Bernard had to exit the game twice, initially in the second quarter for a head injury that was ultimately not serious. However, he later sustained a more significant ankle injury in the third quarter when a Titans player inadvertently stepped on his foo
Dorian Williams also left the game after injuring his knee in the second half. Although there was hope he might return, he remained sidelined for the rest of the match.
Curtis Samuel experienced an injury early in the game, exiting in the first quarter after a hard hit to his shoulder. The impact of the fall raised concerns about the severity of his injury.
Bills’ Head Coach Sean McDermott addressed the situation, stating that they were awaiting further evaluations before making decisions about the players’ returns.
He noted that the seriousness of injuries often becomes clearer only after some time, adding that they would monitor how the situation develops throughout the week.
Fortunately, early assessments indicated that none of the three players would face long-term injuries, raising hopes for their availability in the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks.
It is anticipated that all players will recover fully and rejoin their teammates soon, with Dorian Williams particularly expected to be ready for the next match.
