Alabama Head Coach Kalen DeBoer Gives Injury Report On Key Player Absence

Alabama football released its initial availability report for the Missouri game on Wednesday, confirming details previously shared by head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Notably, veteran safety Keon Sabb will miss Saturday’s matchup due to a “lower-extremity injury” sustained during last week’s loss to Tennessee.

During his weekly press conference on Monday, DeBoer mentioned, “We’re still gathering information here. But we do expect him to be down for a while,” indicating that Sabb’s absence might extend longer than just one game.

The team will continue to assess his condition moving forward.

DeBoer expressed optimism regarding the other defensive backs, suggesting they would be available for Saturday’s game.

Among them is Red Morgan, who is listed as probable on the latest report. However, linebacker Cayden Jones will be sidelined for a second consecutive week, leaving a noticeable gap in the defense.

In contrast, Missouri’s injury report raises more concerns. Quarterback Brady Cook is listed as doubtful after suffering an ankle injury in last week’s game against Auburn, which required him to undergo an MRI.

Additionally, the Tigers’ leading rusher, Nate Noel, is also doubtful, and 12 other players are noted on the report. Alabama and Missouri are set to face off at 2:45 p.m. CT on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with the game broadcast on ABC.
