Key-Player has made it clear that he will be playing this Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens host the Denver Broncos, despite some injury concerns. The reigning NFL MVP confirmed his commitment after the Ravens released their injury report, indicating that he has been managing back and knee issues that kept him from practicing for two days.
When asked whether his absence from practice was a result of the bumps and bruises sustained during the Ravens’ 29-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Jackson clarified that he was simply allowing his body time to recover. “We have a lot of games coming up, so I’m just trying to get my body right and keep it fresh,” he stated during a media session.
Jackson also addressed concerns about whether his lack of practice would affect the team’s game plan. He confidently responded, “No, not at all.” By Friday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jackson had been removed from the injury list, further confirming his readiness for Sunday’s matchup.
Prior to their loss to Cleveland, the Ravens had been on a five-game winning streak after starting the season with two losses. Currently, with a record of 5-3, they sit in second place in the AFC North, trailing the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns follow in third and fourth place, respectively.
This season, Jackson has been performing well, completing 158 of 236 passes for 2,099 yards. He has thrown at least one touchdown in every game, totaling 17 touchdowns over eight games, while only throwing two interceptions and being sacked 12 times.
The Broncos, also holding a 5-3 record, are positioned second in the AFC West and head into Sunday’s game following impressive wins against New Orleans and Carolina.
