Game-Changer Alert: Coach Klieman Adds Two Mystery Transfers to Supercharge K-State’s Offense and Defense!

Coach Chris Klieman has strengthened the Kansas State football roster with the addition of two new transfers. Over the weekend, the Wildcats made moves in the transfer portal, securing players from Nebraska and South Alabama to bolster both their offense and defense.

The first addition, Gabe Ervin, is a 6-foot-1, 220-pound running back who comes to K-State as a graduate transfer. After spending time with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ervin is expected to bring a powerful running style to the Wildcats’ backfield.

During his time at Nebraska, he accumulated 455 rushing yards and scored five touchdowns. Ervin will help K-State fill the void left by DJ Giddens’ departure, as the team prepares for next season with running backs Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson taking on more prominent roles.

In addition to Ervin, K-State also bolstered its defense by adding Amarion Fortenberry, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound defensive back from South Alabama. Fortenberry had an impressive freshman season with the Jaguars, recording 45 tackles and two interceptions. His arrival will be crucial in reinforcing the Wildcats’ secondary, particularly in replacing cornerbacks Keenan Garber and Jacob Parrish, who are no longer with the team.

These two transfers are part of a larger influx of talent to K-State, with the Wildcats now having added a total of nine transfers during this recruiting cycle.

Ervin and Fortenberry join a list of notable players, including Jerand Bradley from Boston College, Gunner Maldonado from Arizona, Mar’Quavious Moss from West Georgia, Gabe Powers from Ohio State, Jayden Rowe from Oklahoma, Amos Talalele from USC, and Jaron Tibbs from Purdue.

The Wildcats are continuing to build their roster with a mix of experience and potential, and the addition of Ervin and Fortenberry will play an important role as K-State looks to remain competitive in the upcoming season. With these two new transfers, the team’s depth and talent across key positions are set to improve significantly.
