INJURY-UPDATE: Brian Kelly Confirms Key Man’s Long-Awaited Return To The Field, All Worries Gone.

LSU head coach Brian Kelly confirmed today that freshman quarterback Colin Hurley is making a strong recovery and is set to return to the team following a single-car accident in early January. Hurley, who was left “unresponsive” after the accident, has shown significant progress, and Kelly shared positive updates on his health during a press conference Wednesday.

“Colin is doing really well,” Kelly said. “He’s back in Jacksonville with his family, and the reports I received from his father were incredibly positive. We’re all optimistic about his recovery, and we’ve left a lot of that process to the family given his age. It’s great to see him making progress, and we’re looking forward to having him back soon.”

Hurley’s recovery, which has been a top priority, has kept him away from the team for the time being, likely missing the start of Spring Practices. However, the good news about his health is a welcomed relief for both the LSU coaching staff and the fans who have been supporting him through this challenging time.

As Hurley continues to recover, the Tigers are moving forward with their preparations for the Spring. LSU will have two scholarship quarterbacks available for the start of the season in Garrett Nussmeier and Michael Van Buren, with recent addition Emile Picarella joining the team as a Preferred Walk-On.

The LSU community remains hopeful for Hurley’s full recovery and looks forward to seeing him return to the field in the future.
