Auburn football has officially signed 3-star running back Omar Mabson II to complete its 2025 signing class. Mabson, a standout from nearby Auburn High School, is the lone addition for the Tigers during the February signing period, as the rest of the class had previously signed in December.
Mabson, who had committed to Auburn on January 27, officially joins the Tigers after reclassifying from the 2026 class in December. At 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds, Mabson is ranked as the 53rd-best running back in the country and the 27th-best overall player in Alabama, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Auburn High head coach Keith Etheredge has praised Mabson’s all-around abilities, noting his impressive athleticism, including a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and a 375-pound bench press. Etheredge also highlighted his strong character and academic achievements, calling him “an unbelievable young man” and a player who “does all the little things right.”
Mabson’s commitment adds another strong piece to Auburn’s future, and fans are excited to see what the talented running back will bring to the Tigers’ football program.
