MAJOR-SETBACK: Giants Re-Sign Depth in Consequence of……….

The New York Giants have re-signed edge rusher Tomon Fox ahead of free agency, giving him another shot to prove himself. Fox, who bounced between the practice squad and active roster nine times in 2024, played a valuable role in the team’s defense and special teams. Despite limited opportunities, he managed to contribute 207 defensive snaps and 203 special teams snaps, showcasing his versatility.

In his 11 games, Fox recorded a sack, 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits. While not a regular contributor or rotational player with high upside, Fox proved himself as a reliable depth piece for both the defense and special teams. The 2024 season highlighted his usefulness, even if his potential is more limited compared to other players.

Fox, who is an exclusive rights free agent due to being an undrafted player, will rejoin the Giants for a one-year deal at the league minimum. This move is not expected to make a major impact on the team’s cap space or future success but adds important depth and special teams contributions. While Fox’s spot on the 2025 roster isn’t guaranteed, his consistent effort makes him a valuable piece for the Giants as they continue their search for improvement.
