The Dallas Cowboys have bolstered their roster at the start of training camp by signing wide receivers Deontay Burnett and Kelvin Harmon after successful workouts on Saturday.
These additions provide much-needed depth at the wide receiver position during CeeDee Lamb’s training camp holdout and following a minor injury to rookie Ryan Flournoy, which has kept him with the rehab group.
Deontay Burnett, originally from Compton, California, attended USC before going undrafted in 2018. Throughout his NFL career, he has played for the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, and Philadelphia Eagles, recording 15 receptions for 210 yards in eight games. After his stint with the Eagles ended in 2020, Burnett played for the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL in 2023 and the Arlington Renegades in the UFL in 2024, where he had 33 receptions for 306 yards and two touchdowns this past spring season.
Kelvin Harmon, a sixth-round pick by the Washington Commanders in 2019 out of North Carolina State, was born in Liberia and moved to New Jersey as a young child. He spent three seasons with Washington before signing with the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL in 2023 and the DC Defenders in the UFL in 2024. Harmon’s 365 career NFL yards place him fourth among Cowboys wide receivers in career yardage.
Burnett and Harmon participated in workouts on Saturday afternoon alongside wide receiver Terrell Bynum and quarterback Reid Sinnett, though Bynum and Sinnett were not signed at the conclusion of the workout.
