MAJOR BOOST: Giants Make Big Move, Sign 10-Time Pro Bowl Quarterback For Championship Push

The New York Giants have signed 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson today.

At 36 years old, Wilson has started 199 regular-season games with the Seahawks (2012-21), Broncos (2022-23), and Steelers (2024). His career passer rating of 99.8 ranks fifth in NFL history for players with at least 1,500 pass attempts.

Wilson has a 121-77-1 record as a regular-season starter and a 9-8 postseason record, including two Super Bowl appearances. He won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks, defeating the Broncos 43-8 at MetLife Stadium.

The 2020 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, Wilson has posted 101 regular-season games with a passer rating of 100.0 or higher, the most in the league since he was drafted by Seattle in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. His 350 passing touchdowns since 2012 are the second-most in the NFL.

On the ground, Wilson has rushed 1,024 times (second among quarterbacks in NFL history), totaling 5,462 yards (fourth) and 31 touchdowns (tied for 20th). He is the only quarterback in NFL history to surpass 40,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards in his career.

Wilson is also one of only two quarterbacks in NFL history, along with Peyton Manning (2012-14), to record 30+ passing touchdowns and a 100.0+ passer rating in three consecutive seasons (2018-2020).

In 2024, Wilson missed the first six weeks of the season due to injury but started the remaining 12 games for the Steelers, including a Wild Card Round appearance.

Wilson has led his teams to 10 or more wins in nine seasons and has made nine playoff appearances.

Before entering the NFL, Wilson became the fifth player in NCAA FBS history to achieve at least 5,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards, starting 50 consecutive games at Wisconsin (2011) and N.C. State (2008-2011). He also set an NCAA FBS record by throwing 379 consecutive passes without an interception.
