Major breaking : Yankees Land 200 million deal for Arizona Diamondbacks Top Experienced Player In Free Agency.

As Arizona Diamondbacks star Zac Gallen struck out 13 batters against the New York Yankees, there’s a good chance the Yankees were impressed by his performance.

With rumors circulating about the possibility of the Diamondbacks trading Gallen, New York could be a potential destination if that happens.

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Yankees’ front office was “drooling” over Gallen’s outing, especially since he’ll be a free agent after this season.

Nightengale also noted that after the Diamondbacks signed Corbin Burnes to a hefty contract, it seems “unrealistic” for them to afford two pitchers with large contracts.

Despite the Yankees struggling against Gallen, Nightengale pointed out that Gallen, who grew up in the Philadelphia area, would likely be attracted to playing back East.

While the Diamondbacks would love to keep him, the financial burden of two $200 million pitchers — especially after Burnes’ six-year, $210 million deal last winter — makes it tough for them to retain both.

Gallen’s future with the Diamondbacks has been uncertain, with reports from last November revealing significant interest from other teams.

He was also given the opening-day start over Burnes, further emphasizing his status as the team’s ace.

But speculation remains about his future, with many teams keeping a close eye on his upcoming free agency.

Gallen’s strong early-season performance, including his standout game against the Yankees, highlights his value.

He credited the cold weather for his success, as it reminded him of his high school days and helped him adjust his game plan to the conditions.

As of now, the Diamondbacks are off to a 5-4 start to the season before their game against the Washington Nationals.
