Missouri redshirt freshman center Talan Chandler has entered the NCAA transfer portal, the team confirmed Monday. The move comes after Chandler spent one season with the Tigers, appearing in just one game during the 2024 campaign.
A native of Nevada, Missouri, Chandler arrived at Mizzou as a three-star recruit in the class of 2024. He initially committed to Colorado before flipping to Missouri ahead of signing day. Viewed as a developmental prospect with long-term potential, Chandler redshirted his first year and saw limited action — totaling eight snaps, all in Missouri’s non-conference win over UMass.
With three years of eligibility remaining, Chandler will now look to restart his college football journey elsewhere. The former state standout was highly regarded for his physicality and football IQ coming out of high school, and he is expected to draw interest from other programs seeking to bolster their offensive line depth.

Chandler’s departure comes as the Tigers continue to adjust their roster ahead of the 2025 season. His exit creates another opening along the interior offensive line, an area where Missouri is expected to pursue additional reinforcements through both recruiting and the transfer portal.
Although his time at Mizzou was brief, Chandler was a respected presence in the locker room and earned praise from coaches for his work ethic and commitment. The Tigers wish him the best as he explores new opportunities and continues his collegiate career.
Chandler is the latest Tiger to enter the portal this spring, joining a growing list of players across the country seeking fresh starts in an increasingly dynamic college football landscape.
