Breaking: Setback As Kansas State Football Lose 4-Star Freshman To The Transfer Portal

Incoming freshman safety Noah King, who enrolled at Kansas State in January, has already decided to enter the transfer portal before ever suiting up for the Wildcats. King, a four-star recruit from Cincinnati, Ohio, was a notable member of head coach Chris Klieman’s well-regarded 2025 signing class.

Ranked as the 216th overall prospect and the 26th-best cornerback in the 2025 class by 247Sports, King had originally committed to K-State over offers from Kentucky, Nebraska, West Virginia, and several other programs.

His commitment was historic in its own right—he was the first Kansas State signee from Ohio since 2004.

According to multiple media outlets, King’s decision to leave comes just months after joining the program, marking a surprising early exit for a player once expected to contribute to the Wildcats’ secondary. Now, he’ll look for a new landing spot as his college career begins a new chapter.
