Earlier this week, South Carolina secured a major addition from the transfer portal in star guard Ta’Niya Latson for the 2025-26 season—and now, more big news could be on the way.
Per On3’s Talia Goodman, standout shooter Gianna Kneepkens, formerly of Utah, is planning visits to South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and UCLA. The 6-foot wing from Minnesota, who has one year of eligibility remaining due to an injury-shortened 2023-24 season, is returning to college despite being eligible for the WNBA draft.

As a redshirt junior, Kneepkens put up impressive stats: 19.3 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal per game, while shooting 50.4% from the field, 44.8% from three-point range, and 89% from the free-throw line. She’s also known for her ball-handling and rebounding skills.
Even if Kneepkens chooses another school, head coach Dawn Staley has made it clear she’s actively targeting size in the transfer portal this offseason.
