Breaking: Tigers Add Another Top Talented Star In The Big League

Major League Baseball will soon have another Jung brother on the field, as the Detroit Tigers have called up Jace Jung, the 2022 Big 12 Player of the Year, ahead of Friday’s home series opener against the Yankees.

Ranked as MLB’s fourth-best third base prospect and the younger brother of Texas Rangers star Josh Jung, Jace posted a .258 average with 15 home runs and 63 RBIs over 95 games with the Toledo Mud Hens in 2024.

Jung, who won the 2023 MiLB Golden Glove Award at second base, has been playing both second and third base for Toledo this season in AAA.

Since returning from injury on July 9, Jung has hit four home runs, including a multi-homer game on July 12 in a 12-6 victory over Omaha.
