Let’s not talk about it, let’s just work and win!” With Newton’s commitment, the Hurricanes now boast 21 recruits in their 2025 class, seven of whom have pledged in the past two months. Recent commits include Las Vegas Bishop Gorman offensive lineman Seuseu Alofaituli, Bradenton IMG Academy linebacker Gavin Nix, Jacksonville Mandarin athlete Hylton Stubbs, New Iberia (Louisiana) Westgate cornerback Jaboree Antoine, Phenix City (Alabama) Central wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw, and Chaminade-Madonna defensive lineman Donta Simpson. Newton is the second edge rusher to join Miami’s 2025 class, alongside fellow three-star Herbert Scroggins.
